April 2017 saw the Slieverue Active Retired Group head west for their spring break. I have worked with the group leader on other hotel breaks and was delighted to be organising their holiday. She had asked for a hotel in the north west, somewhere scenic and not in a town as such. The group also wanted plenty to do in the evening. The Yeats Country Hotel, Spa and Leisure Centre at Rosses Point ticked all the boxes. The staff are particularly friendly and I knew that the group would be well looked after. It also boasts wonderful views and the spa is a real bonus – I think I would spend all my time there! This is a stunning part of the north west and Co Sligo has so much to offer in terms of daytrips for mature groups.
Staying the 4 nights this April 2017 they enjoyed day trips to Lissadell House and Gardens, Yeats’ grave at Drumcliff and even a trip to Arigna Mines which is a fascinating place to visit. I could have recommended many other attractions in the area which offers so much choice.
Each evening they enjoyed live entertainment and dancing in the bar and prior to this we organised a private room for them to run their own Bingo, a favourite for all the members.
